Christina Gungoll Lepore
Christina Gungoll Lepore is a veteran of state and federal government, having served as an advisor to a governor, chairman of the House Energy & Commerce Committee, US Senator, and a member of the US House of Representatives.
As Oklahoma Governor J. Kevin Stitt’s representative in Washington, she advocated for the state’s federal priorities to Congress and the Administration including appropriations requests for infrastructure projects important to the state’s economic growth. As his senior advisor, she established and led his Washington, D.C. Office while he was policy chair of the Republican Governors Public Policy Committee, vice chair of the National Governors Association (NGA) and co-chair of the bipartisan NGA permitting reform working group.
Christina helped to spearhead the governor’s international trade and diplomacy efforts which were instrumental in the state landing one of the largest investment and employment wins in state history and Oklahoma increasing its subnational diplomacy, particularly around critical mineral supply chain security and energy. She has been recognized nationally by Women in Government Relations (WGR), receiving the 2023 Governor’s Staff Award for Excellence.
Her work implementing communications and government affairs strategies for government, corporate and non-profit entities spans the globe, from Washington to Singapore and London. Her Washington experience includes working for U.S. Congressman Frank Lucas of Oklahoma, as well as a former Chairman of the House Energy & Commerce Committee, and a former Vice Chair of the Senate Republican Conference in the U.S. Senate. Her overseas experience includes stints with the Singapore subsidiary of Del Monte Pacific Limited, the American Chamber of Commerce in Singapore during the U.S.-Singapore Free Trade Agreement negotiations, as well as the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales in London, England.
A fourth generation Oklahoman from Enid, Oklahoma, she serves on the global advisory board of Citizen Capital focused on economic development in Oklahoma. She earned a B.A. from New York University (NYU) and an M.A. in Fine and Decorative Art from Sotheby’s Institute of Art in London awarded by the University of Manchester. She now lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband and twin daughters.
